Editor’s Note: This was intended for release on Tuesday, May 21st, but better late than never!
GSoul- Window Pane (PLT) (single)
On this international submission, K-Pop singer GSoul makes his crossover appearance into the realm of R&B with this incredibly groovy track. Yearning for the Pretty Little Thang in question to see the world through his view, a simple bass line serves as the song’s rhythmic lifeline. GSoul’s soft voice complements the smooth and sultry instrumental, giving the whole song a soulful feel.
If you like R&B and Neo-Soul, this track is right up your alley. Give it a listen as it drops today, May 21st, on all streaming platforms!
M.C.D. - Boy Oh Boy (single)
Sampling a certified New York Summertime Classic in Cam’ron and Juelz Santana’s “Oh Boy,” MCD looks to replicate the same feel and vibe on his next single. Filled with bright sounds and an icy feel, Mike Can Dream spits a flurry of bars that play on and reference several New York icons. With an easy groove you can do a 2-step to, it’s an infectious track that’s hard to dislike.
If you like Pop Rap, this track is one for you to add to your playlist when it drops on May 31st.
LIFEOFTHOM - OUT MY HEAD (ft Yoshi T.)
Thom starts off with a calm-but-strong delivery than we’re used to hearing from him, but he absolutely smokes it and still displays his signature energy later in the track. Stoic’s production is simple but effective, crafting a hard-hitting beat that satiates the appetite of the hardcore boom-bap head and the casual listener, as well as those who fall in between. Yoshi T’s feature complements Thom in the best way, and has me eager for anything they decide to collaborate on in the future.
If you like Boom Bap or Alternative Hip-Hop, check this track out when it drops on May 22nd!
If you would like to have your upcoming, unreleased music featured in a future edition of Project Preview, please fill out this submission form, and we'll be in touch.
See you next week!
