With the year wrapping up almost as quickly as it came, now seems like the best time to drop some heat and set the tone for the new year. Staten Island rapper NSU Lah did exactly that with his latest single “No Chill”, which dropped along with visuals right before Christmas. In the wake of the sample drill wave, J. Cole’s “No Role Modelz” was used for this song, and NSU Lah’s melodic sound pairs almost perfectly with the beat while talking about moving tact and being in the field. Despite being less than 2 minutes, the song was a fun bop that definitely holds replay value.
The video, directed by Will C, was pretty creative and featured a combination of VFX and shots around Staten Island with Lah’s bros getting sturdy, which made it feel very true to NY culture. The song already has close to 1k views on YouTube within the first day which is indicative of how many people are tuned in. I’ll be looking out to see what NSU Lah has coming next year.
Nsu Lah is definitely one of the youngest and hottest rappers coming out of Staten Island. 2022 the borough #statenisland going to be pushing nothing but heat 🔥🔥 #smb #salutemyboro #statenisland #bornroyal remember you read it here first.. Now go rush it…. #nsuflizzywethebestinthecity
