GRAMMY®-nominated soul icon Marsha Ambrosius has released a powerful new single, "Greedy," from her forthcoming album CASABLANCO, executive produced by Dr. Dre. Accompanied by string and horn sections, Ambrosius delivers a genre-bending vocal performance, seamlessly blending scat, hip-hop, jazz, and R&B to tell the story of a tumultuous relationship. Produced by Dre, Ambrosius, Erik “Blu2th” Griggs, and Focus…, the track nods to Leon Russell’s “This Masquerade” and OutKast’s “SpottieOttieDopaliscious,” and includes a sample of "Abm_analogic 145bpm" by Jeff Baranowski and Luke Milano.

CASABLANCO is set for release on June 28 via Aftermath/Interscope Records and marks Ambrosius’ first studio album since 2018’s NYLA. The collaboration with Dr. Dre began when he invited her to lend her vocals to some of his tracks, leading to their decision to create an album together. The result is a fusion of technical mastery and unbridled imagination, showcasing two legends at work. The album is available for pre-order now.

In addition to "Greedy," the album features hits like "The Greatest," praised by HipHopDX as "stunning" and prominently featured in ESPN's 2023 Heisman Trophy promos, and the atmospheric soul anthem "One Night Stand." Ambrosius' performance at the 2024 Roots Picnic in Philadelphia was highlighted by Variety as one of the event’s best moments, particularly for her rendition of "The Greatest," which suggests her upcoming album with Dre will be well worth the wait. Ambrosius is also set to perform at the Louisville Funk Fest on June 22.

From her time with R&B outfit Floetry to her solo career, Ambrosius has captivated fans with her mesmerizing voice and relatable lyrics. With singles like "Far Away," "Run," and "Late Nights & Early Mornings," she has conveyed the raw emotions of loss, heartache, and true connection. As a songwriter, she has crafted tracks for artists like Michael Jackson, Alicia Keys, Solange, and H.E.R. With the arrival of CASABLANCO, Ambrosius embarks on an exciting new musical chapter that captures the full extent of her artistry.
