DESTROY LONELY ANNOUNCES HIGHLY ANTICIPATED NEW ALBUM LOVE LASTS FOREVER SET TO RELEASE AUGUST 30TH

August 19, 2024 – Groundbreaking artist Destroy Lonely has announced the release of his highly anticipated sophomore album, LOVE LASTS FOREVER, set to drop on August 30thLOVE LASTS FOREVER represents a pivotal moment in Lonely’s career, showcasing his growth as an artist and storyteller with its innovative and genre-defying sound. On X, he shared, “Hope y’all love this as much as we do, took about a year to get right.” Pre-order LOVE LASTS FOREVER HERE.

Earlier this summer Lonely released the first single from LLF, the metaphorical “LUV 4 YA” (produced by Lil 88, along with henny and Evertime). “LUV 4 YA” starts with a smooth, laid-back yet powerful groove, and transforms into a high-energy anthem exploring love and materialism over slick drums and hypnotic riffs. In the stunning visual directed by 91 Rules, the triumphant track finds the Atlanta native navigating his way out of an alternate reality. As he seeks an exit by digging through the surreal void, the world schemes to trap him in limbo, testing his determination. Watch HERE.

In 2023, Destroy Lonely saw unparalleled success and critical acclaim with the release of his debut album If Looks Could Kill, his career soared to new heights. Within just 24 hours of its release, the album climbed to No. 1 on Apple Music. On Spotify, it garnered nearly 10 million streams, marking his biggest streaming day ever, while also securing a spot in the Top 20 on the Billboard 200. Prior to If Looks Could Kill, Lonely generated significant momentum with the release of his mixtape NO STYLIST, featuring the title track "NOSTYLIST," which has since been certified Gold by the RIAA. This project not only garnered critical acclaim but also earned him placements on numerous "Artist to Watch" lists for 2023, including Rolling Stone, Complex, Billboard, Pigeons & Planes, Alt Press, and more.

Beyond music Lonely has made significant strides by teaming up with designer, Matthew Williams (formerly of Givenchy) to curate an exclusive merch collection, graced two iconic Marc Jacobs campaigns, starred in a Bose campaign, and even lunched his own limited edition Vitamin Water flavors, called “Look Killa Juice.”  His bold ventures across multiple creative domains not only showcased his versatility but also cemented his status as a true innovator. This year, the Opium artist has continued to stay active. He collaborated with producer, Southside and label-mate Ken Carson on “President,” and joined forces with Atlanta's own, Quavo on “Potato Loaded.” He kicked off the summer with an electrifying performance at Coachella and took the stage alongside his Opium labelmates in Chicago for an iconic performance at Lyrical Lemonades, Summer Smash. This summer, alongside the release of LOVE LASTS FOREVER, Lonely is set to appear at the annual cultural vent know for its fusion of cutting-edge fashion, music, and art, ComplexCon.
